A cornerstone of Functional Synergy and its programs is mentoring.

Through mentoring, therapists from a range of healthcare disciplines learn how to integrate the skills and tools necessary to become effective and trustworthy movement or yoga therapists, and build sustainable, profitable businesses.

Dawn RossDawn Ross

Dawn believes through awareness, self compassion and balance physical pain can be reduced and in many cases eliminated. Including pain we tell ourselves is because of aging, associated with a chronic condition or it’s just the way it is because “I’ve had 4 kids, my parent or grandparent had bad knees, an old injury, I’m 40 so it’s the downhill slide, etc.” “It doesn’t have to be, I know another way. With ease, change is always possible, and life changing.”

Dawn helps self professed, non-bendy average Joe types improve hip and shoulder mobility & stability, posture & circulation, core strength and reduce mental clutter in yoga & fitness classes and private movement therapy sessions. She is passionate about helping people start right where they are, and bit by bit, get where they want to be in body, mind and spirit. To find out more, go to

Sharyl PaullSharyl Paull (2)

Sharyl began her journey with yoga in 2001. As a long distance runner that couldn’t even touch her toes, she signed up for a yoga class in an effort to relieve tight muscles and gain flexibility. She was immediately hooked. Over the next several years, she explored many different yogic traditions and eventually found her home in the Ashtanga practice. She has completed her teacher trainings with Tim Miller and Jeff & Harmony Lichty.

After experiencing a significant low back injury, she was able to heal herself with a therapeutic yoga practice. This started her on the path of using the principles of yoga and functional movement as therapy. She has since completed a 1000 hour certification training with Functional Synergy and is continuously amazed at the possibilities that exist for healing. She believes that when you are free of pain and all the energy it draws, you truly get to show up for your life. She feels so blessed to be able to help people with this journey.
