This Training is Full
Dates: Sept 22 to Sept 27, 2018
The Therapeutic Yoga Intensive has been running since 2004 and remains one of the best foundational programs for becoming a truly spectacular health care professional – whether that be a yoga therapist, physical therapist, occupational therapist, chiropractor, physician, osteopath, massage therapist, or fitness professional. What do I mean by spectacular? Being present so that you can truly be with the person who is in front of you, and not having to rely on the latest trend, or research paper to choose movements, breathing and stillness techniques. Yes, trends and research are interesting and important and the magic happens when you are truly with your client.
Nurses, Doctors, PTs, OTs, Massage Therapists and Chiropractors who have taken this program are amazed at how much more present they become for their own patients/clients. Many comment that it is the missing piece for truly serving, getting consistently great results, and not burning out.
This program is for you if you believe that healing is possible. You want a no fuss, candid and truly loving approach to being real about “what is”; to dig in and explore yourself in movement, breath and stillness. You know that your level of awareness, connection and integration has a direct impact on your results with your clients. You recognize you can’t ask a client to do what you aren’t willing to do for yourself. You understand that if pain can change, pain can actually change.
This program is not for you if you are looking for a quick “fix it”, if you don’t recognize there is a magic in healing and you would prefer a “power over” approach which suggests you know more than your client. If you are looking for templates to treat conditions you won’t enjoy this experience.
This is a small group experience with a maximum of 18 participants.
What You Will Learn: You will learn my unique and very successful approach to yoga therapy, and how to improve physical wellbeing as it relates to biomechanical, mental and emotional patterns. You will learn my 8 Principles of Movement, and Principles of Healing that I use every day to help students reduce and get out of pain. You will also meet and interact with graduates of this program and talk to them about the success they are achieving.
Following the Training: We will meet for 3 months of post-intensive mentoring so that you can integrate the concepts and principles, get client questions answered and continue to grow.
Bonus: During the training you will receive yoga props so you can integrate these concepts immediately into your teaching. The props include a felt pad and a spinal strip.
Sept 22 to 27: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm each day.
This training will be held at the Moksha Uptown at 1498 Yonge St. (https://uptown.mokshayoga.ca/)
