Yoga ​POSE CORRECTIONS - Fundamentals


In this 2 hour online yoga workshop, acclaimed yoga therapist Susi Hately (BSc Kinesiology) will teach you how to recognize and eliminate your own compensatory patterns that are preventing you from experiencing the release and strengthening benefits you desire from your yoga practice.

We'll explore key yoga poses including:

  •  Warrior 1, 2, 3
  • Triangle
  • Sitting Twist
  • Downward Dog

You’ll learn how to recognize your own compensatory patterns that are causing unnecessary strain and preventing you from going deeper into each pose – so you can eliminate the source of your tension and pain and cultivate the strength, flexibility, and energy you seek. 

You’ll also discover:

  • The underlying biomechanics to each pose so you understand exactly how your body is supposed to move and why
  • How to become more aware of subtle shifts within your body so you can intuitively correct your posture and pose
  • How to “self-diagnose” your compensations so you no longer have to rely on an instructor to improve your practice of these fundamental poses

You’ll even get the chance to submit your own practice videos for which Susi will review during the class, so you can get personalized advice on how to improve your performance and go even deeper into the pose.

Meet your Teacher:

SUsi Hately, B.Sc.Kinesiology

Susi Hately has been helping people reduce and eradicate pain for 25 years. She takes a science-based to yoga and has been a bridge between the medical world and yoga. Two of her programs have been studied at the University of Calgary and both showed benefit for supporting people and their wellbeing.

You can count on Susi's expertise. In addition to her ongoing client practice, Susi has been training teachers and health professionals in yoga therapy since 2001. She is the director and lead teacher in the highly successful C-IAYT Accredited Functional Synergy Yoga Therapy Program and has appeared as a guest expert at Trent University, on Global TV, CTV, and in the Globe and Mail, Thrive Online, Chatelaine, Bride Magazine, Parenting, and Yoga Journal. 

She has also taught at the Women's President's Organization, and Young Professionals Organization.  Susi is the best selling author of 10 books and yoga video series.
