AYT – Foundational Principles Part 2

Planes of Movement and Relationships Between Our Parts

When we explore and understand the planes of movement and the relationships between our parts, we begin to see more clearly what is working and what isn’t. This helps improve our ability to intervene.

Here are three videos. We will explore planes of movement, deviations of those planes (leading to compensation), and then a discussion on relationships of parts using Stew in various versions of a backbend.

After watching this video consider The aim isn’t to quiet all compensations all at once. There are times when compensations can be very useful. They aren’t all “bad”. How does this land for you? Does it generate more clarity, more questions, more brow furrowing or uncertainty?

Enjoy,
Susi
